An all outdoor, teacher led play group that nurtures connection with community and nature. Through sensory exploration, nature knowledge, games, stories, songs and nature play, families are given the opportunity to connect with their children in a relaxed, safe, and supported way in nature. While role modeling play and discovery with their children, families receive the restorative gifts of nature in a supportive group environment. This is just as much for children as it is their grown-ups! We encourage caregivers to connect with fellow adults, with nature and themselves along the way.
We will adventure and play through the forests and alongside creeks with a trained teacher and naturalist.
Please bring your own snack, an extra change of clothes for the children, and waterproof shoes in the winter. We often walk through shallow streams or play around slippery mud.
Although the teachers will stay on-site during designated class times, you are welcome to leave whenever you and your child are ready. This hike is along trails and through uneven ground.
Accommodations can be made for children or families with disabilities. Please contact us for questions at (360) 461-7169.
