Overview Of Enrollment Process for the School Year

Families who are interested in a current or future school year should review our website and then submit an application of interest (see below). You will receive a confirmation email detailing the next steps available at that time.

Registration for returning families and those that have attended an Open House opens in the early spring, prior to registration opening to all for the upcoming school year.

Families who have submitted a application of interest will be notified when new family registration opens up to the public and be provided with a registration link.

Please note, although we will send a courtesy email to families who have signed up on the interest list, it is a family’s responsibility to be aware of upcoming registration dates by checking our website and newsletters. Registration dates will be posted on our online calendar.

All classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

It is highly suggested that you have already joined us for an open house prior to registration.

There is a difference between registration and enrollment. This process of signing up for programs is called registering. Families are enrolled after they receive a confirmation and pay the tuition. If no spots are available families will be notified that they have been added to the waitlist.

* We recommend families interested in Nature Skills classes attend the virtual open house event.

Together with Olympic Nature Experience staff, you and your child will explore Owl’s Hollow Nature School. You will see how learning takes place outdoors, how the classroom environment is set up, and the flow of the daily routine. You will learn program philosophy from our staff, and have an opportunity to ask questions. This Open House will take place rain or shine so you can see how our teachers and families work together to make sure children are prepared to learn in all weather. Please be prepared to be outside and hike a short distance on and off the trail and up and down hills. Our Open House is  about 2 hours.

We suggest you bring:

  • A snack and water for you and your child
  • Enough clothing to keep you and your child comfortable through the entire class period, in any weather (we will meet rain or shine!)
  • A pack that you can carry with you as you hike
  • A backpack for your child with their snack and water bottle and extra clothing

Sign up for an Open House below on our Application of Interest.

Back to School Meet and Greet

Thursday, September 5th from 9:30 – 11am

Owl’s Hollow families will have the opportunity to meet your child’s lead teacher and see the classroom where you will meet each day.

Administrative staff will also be at the event to provide an orientation that focuses on routines, gear requirements, and ways to ensure your child’s safety and success at nature school. Both new and returning families are highly encouraged to attend.

During this visit, caregivers are expected to stay with and be responsible for your children so that teachers and staff can connect with all families in attendance.

If you are unable to attend the in-person event, we will send out a virtual back-to-school orientation after the event.

Interested in a Future School Year?
