An all outdoor, teacher led play group that nurtures connection with community and nature hosted by Olympic Nature Experience in cooperation with Dungeness River Audubon Center. Through sensory exploration, nature knowledge, games, stories, songs and nature play, families are given the opportunity to connect with their children in a relaxed, safe, and supported way in nature. While role modeling play and discovery with their children, families receive the restorative gifts of nature in a supportive group environment.
We will adventure and play through the forests and alongside channels of the Dungeness River with a trained teacher and naturalist.
Please bring your own snack, an extra change of clothes for the children, and waterproof shoes in the winter. We often walk through shallow streams or play around slippery mud.
Although the teachers will stay on-site during designated class times, you are welcome to leave whenever you and your child are ready. This hike is along trails and through uneven ground.
Meet out side the Dungeness River Audubon Center.
$5 per child, or $10 per family. Punch cards available.
