See you on Saturday!
Introducing our first annual Beer in the Woods fundraiser! We know our community loves frolicking in the woods but we also know that it’s much more fun when we’re inspired. Join us on September 23 from 4 – 8pm at Webster’s Woods in Port Angeles for a walk in the woods while you enjoy a variety of mostly PNW beer, live music, forest stories and locally prepared food all while supporting the growth of our nature school. Proceeds raised from this event benefit our programs.
Families are welcome! Kids under 5 are free. Our event will feature a free kids scavenger hunt and nature crafts as well as an interactive skull exhibit from our friends at the Dungeness River Nature Center, the Shutterbug photo bus and facepainting by Emmagine for purchase.
Featured Olympic Peninsula Breweries: Barhop, Fathom & League, Port Townsend Brewing Company, Echoes, Bainbridge Brewing, Propolis, Valholl and Western Red Brewing.
The Big Breweries: New Belgium, Fremont, Black Raven, Mack and Jack’s, Hop Valley, pFreim, Deschutes, 2Towns Cider… and more!
Tickets are $40 and will be available at the door.
Tickets include: entrance to the event, commemorative cup, 8 tastes and snack. Pints and cans are available for additional purchase.
We want you to enjoy your beer in the woods but we also want you to get home safely. Tickets for designated drivers and kids over age 5 are $10 any time!
Not drinking? We have two types of N/A Beer as well as Bedford Sodas. Get the munchies? We’ll have popcorn for purchase and The Goat & The Radish and DaKindz Island Grill food stands will have snack packs, bratwurst, crepes, lettuce wraps and island grub to keep you fueled along the way.
Dance until you drop with live jazz music from Junior John and Unko Beer and Joel Ricci and Devil’s Club band.
Win a nature experience
Because it wouldn’t be a fundraiser without a raffle! Enter to win a guided kayak trip for two with Elevate Outdoors, a guided snowshoe hike at Hurricane Ridge with Olympic Hiking Company or a tour of Olympic National Park with Evergreen Escapes. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 and will only be sold at the event.

Thanks to our partners!
Wait — what does a nature school know about beer? Absolutely nothing! But we do know about community. We are proud to be advised by the real MVP’s of local beer: the staff at Angeles Brewing and Peninsula Taproom. Our tasting tent will feature descriptions of each beer to enhance and enlighten your tasting experience. And we couldn’t have done it without the Port Townsend Brewing Company, who hooked us up with our special tasting cups and live music options and Barhop for helping us store mountains of beer to keep it in prime condition for your enjoyment.
